Care & Exhibition of Historic Clothing in Small Museums

Most small museums have an abundance of historic clothing in their collections. In this workshop you will learn basic information about managing these collections. Topics that will be discussed include: how to begin to assess your collection; how to choose the appropriate materials to use in the preservation of clothing-both archival and off-the-shelf; safe storage methods; and the dos and don’ts of exhibiting your clothing collections.
